CellRenew offers regenerative medicine across seven focus areas: Aesthetic Regeneration, Physical Recovery & Performance Medicine, Longevity & Health Optimisation, Personalised Medical Conditions Optimisation (covering metabolic health and weight management, women’s hormone health, and pain management), Genetic & DNA Testing, Consultations, Assessments & IV Therapy, and Therapies Explained. Visit our Services page to explore each area in more detail.
Regenerative medicine focuses on supporting the body’s natural healing processes using evidence-informed therapies designed to promote tissue repair, reduce inflammation, and optimise overall health.
Treatment may be appropriate for people experiencing joint pain, sports injuries, hair loss, skin concerns, chronic pain, metabolic conditions, hormonal and sexual health concerns, and those looking to support healthy ageing and wellbeing. Suitability is determined during your consultation.
If you are not sure where to start, an exploratory consultation is the easiest first step. Dr Aamina Peer will review your health history and goals and point you towards the service, or combination of services, most relevant to you.
Your initial consultation includes a detailed review of your medical history, health goals, and lifestyle. Dr Aamina Peer will undertake relevant scans and assessments and discuss appropriate investigations. Together with you and all the information, a recommended treatment plan will be developed based on your individual needs.
No. DNA testing is optional and may be recommended when additional genetic insights could help guide your treatment plan.
Yes. A single DNA panel can often be used across more than one programme. DNA Core, for example, can inform Longevity, Metabolic Health, and general preventative planning, while DNA Hormone may support both Women’s Health and Longevity programmes. Dr Peer will advise which panels are most relevant to your goals.
The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, treatment goals, and how your body responds. Your recommended treatment plan will be discussed during your consultation.
No. Every person responds differently to treatment, and outcomes vary according to individual factors. All treatment options, potential benefits, and limitations will be explained before you begin your care.
The regenerative therapies offered at CellRenew have demonstrated favourable safety profiles in clinical research, with patients treated globally. The most common adverse effects are mild and transient, including temporary flu-like symptoms following intravenous MSC or exosome infusion, and localised discomfort, swelling, or bruising at injection sites following PRP or local injections.
Serious adverse events are rare. However, as with any medical treatment, risks exist and cannot be entirely eliminated. Because MSC and exosome therapies are experimental treatments, the full spectrum of long-term risks may not yet be known.
Some of the regenerative therapies offered at CellRenew are not approved by SAHPRA for routine clinical use; however, they are offered within the appropriate South African legal and ethical framework, with biologic products sourced from SAHPRA-approved manufacturers and compounded medicines prepared by CPSA-registered pharmacies.
Every patient receives comprehensive information about the regenerative treatment, the available scientific evidence, and the potential benefits and risks before any decision is made. All treatments are administered only after the patient has provided fully informed, voluntary written consent following a detailed consultation with their treating clinician.
Regenerative medicine treatments work by stimulating and supporting the body's own biological healing processes, which means that results develop progressively over weeks to months, rather than immediately. Most patients begin to notice improvements within 4 to 8 weeks of treatment, with continued improvement over 3 to 6 months as the biological processes of regeneration unfold.
The degree of improvement varies between patients, depending on factors including the severity and duration of the condition being treated, the patient's age and overall health, their genetic profile, and their adherence to the lifestyle and nutritional recommendations that support the regenerative process. While many patients experience significant and meaningful improvements, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes, and results will differ between individuals.
CellRenew’s clinical team will provide you with a realistic assessment of the likely outcomes for your specific situation during your consultation, based on the current evidence and their clinical experience.
